Consumable Tea Pavilion

SITE LOCATION

South Park,
Oxford

This project focused on developing a sensory pavilion that allowed the community to engage with the structure as well as inhabit it.

The creation draws on Japanese tea culture, offering spaces of varying sizes to be used by groups or individuals for relaxation.

The structure itself also plays with the theme of tea, built using compressed tea bricks, to offer an all encompassing experience.

Through this immersion, the users partake in consumption via their engagement with the structure.
